I wanted a pet plant and while at my house in the catskills (upstate NY) i found a number of Maple saplings, 2 didn't survive the scorcher last week, but one did. This morning i went to water it and I noticed it has small green bugs on the undersides of the leaves, they look like leafhoppers. I plucked them all off (what I thought was all) but they came back. What can I do to save my pet?!

Simonjcr,

An organic insecticide can be made using 1 to 2 tablespoons of dish soap mixed with quart of water and applied to the insects using a spray bottle.  This is safe to use inside the home and around family and pets.  Continue to apply until you no longer see insects.
